Fallout 4 is coming…and I can’t wait. So while I wait for the newest installment in the Fallout series, let me tell you a tale of a young Fallout fan named GatorMacheteJr. and the deal he made with Bethesda. He traded in BOTTLE CAPS for a pre-order of the game. But did he get his money’s worth? What did he ACTUALLY pay for his copy of Fallout 4? The answer is shocking!
Fallout 4, please come now!

4 cents is just for the raw material…. he fond the company who manufacture them and even phoned them… could have just asked how much a cap cost xD
Those bottlecaps are True Overkill. I'd be rich if thats the real currency (the first one)
It seems when i look at power armor from fallout it looks super close to warhammer power armor i mean what if someone built a big rocket and flew off others got on board with it and flew also like super mutants are orks. Death claws are tyrinids(idk if i spell that right) and humans are the IMPERIUM OF MAN. Think about it i can go on for hours about how there all from the same world and grew bigger in the future oh and bandits/Raiders are chaos worshippers
Got Fallout 4 for $10 with an exclusive copy of Fallout 3 for Xbox. So I think that is big win
Good thing he spent his irl bottle caps on fallout 4 and not fallout 76
Actually G, its uhhhhhh….. the 1600's remember Mothership Zeta DLC in FO3? Re do that lmao
When he says Jan 3rd of 1961 but u want ur down to the last second
Only thing I remember from gold bars was learning 'how to let go'
Not to mention the amount of money it costs to buy the bottles to get said bottle caps
The timeline split is May 1945…
Gold has intrinsic value because it doesn’t corrode, is a great conductor, and is incredibly malleable.
I HAVE THAT PIP-BOY IN MY HOUSE! I OWN ONE!
When he showed us the Silver Bar ist wasn‘t a f***ing Silver bar ist was platinum
Love seeing my man Troy in this video!
😁😁
I was hyped for fallout 4. Jesus Christ I was disappointed
Old game setups rip
In game the year the bombs drop it was 2077
prue nostalga
I am watching this during covid 19 so when he asked if you were living in an underground bunker the last few months I said yes
This video has aged poorly, yes. Just like Mat’s channel.
“No bottlecap factories after the war” HA say that to my Pressing X and B right after on a shop in my settlement
Gold is actually really a really good metal for building, it's a soft metal, so pretty easily malleable for shaping but still fairly strong, plus it doesn't rust, so…… Just because you can't eat it or pick a lock with it (Not in brick shape anyway) doesn't mean it's useless, Matt!
This game came out on my birthday
This video just screams r/agedlikemilk
I thought it took place where the Cold War happened
The word fallout even means a radiation rain
An easy way would be seeing how many caps a 10 mill bullet
I'm not part of this fandom, I have no idea what the storyline is or why I'm here but obviously (based on these comments) something went down in this fan base….and I am determined to figure out what.
It's easier in FO4 now that it's out. 1 stack of prewar money is canonically worth $100, and sells for 8 caps, so 1 cap = $12.5USD
Yet we see socitiey use paper money sort of in new vegas and fallout 2
10:30 Troy ounce: I’m stealing myself.
Yes a very well made game 1:21
Matpat:cares about shaving more than a never ending war
Matpat: gold and silver
Also matpat: puts platinum insted of silver
I bought fo4 for $5
4 years late but his math was wrong from the beginning because despite the gold bars takeing up 35 points of the player weight it is never said that each point is a pound and if you look at the gold bars which he very clearly shows in the video it says each one is 10oz
Oh silly matpat you didn't just say 1961 right???
Or did you say it right and said 2077
