  • Totally relate on watching amazing videos and forgetting it a week later! I take online classes at Arizona State University. Most of our textbooks are online, I hate that too, I like having the printed textbook in my hands. Thanks for the book review and your channel helping me to understand accounting a little bit better.

  • Confused with chapter 9. P. 140 we're told to replace our previous $3 tax liability with $16 tax liability. They don't really mention why we're doing this, or where to balance things. I guess that $16 is balanced by decreasing Earnings Week To Date by $16, giving us -$4 EWTD. Then, on the next two pages, we're told to write off expired inventory ($10) by reducing Earnings by $10. Okay, it all balances, except the authors apparently expected it to NOT balance, and suggest that we recalculate taxes because of reduced inventory. That makes sense, but then my balance sheet doesn't balance if we're reducing the tax liability. Do I increase earnings by the same amount we're decreasing the tax liability ($16 – $9.50= $6.50)? They're suddenly very short on guidance and don't provide a completed balance sheet for reference. Am I crazy? Am I missing something?

  • Just bought this book. I recently switched colleges and taking Accounting. I’m hoping this will help me to refresh my memory on all the accounting stuff I learned in financial accounting before I start classes again since it’s been about a year! Of course as they say if you don’t use it you lose it and I feel like I’ve forgotten so much. Hoping this will help me out to prepare me for the new semester accounting courses!
